Job Purpose
Reporting to the Financial Services Global Chief Accounting Officer, the Technical Accounting Manager, will provide specialized accounting expertise with a focus on US GAAP & IFRS principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, globally. This role will work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and senior leadership to address complex accounting issues, document the reporting of allowance for loan losses, and maintain the integrity of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and our SOX program.
This position is eligible for our hybrid work model working three (3) days on-site in our offices in Waterford, WI and two (2) days remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Responsible for the largest subjective account on the Balance Sheet, including the application of ASC 326 - Credit Losses and IFRS 9 – Financial Instruments, ensuring the accurate estimation, reporting and documentation of expected credit losses for loans, receivables, and other financial instruments within the organization.
- Research, analyze and document new accounting standards and regulatory changes, interpreting their impact on the organization.
- Review the quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Form 10-K and Form 10-Q, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintains SOX compliance over the Financial Services segment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new and update existing accounting policies.
- Support financial statement audits by providing documentation and addressing auditor inquiries related to technical accounting matters.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and controls.
- Review contracts and business arrangements to ensure proper accounting treatment.
Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA certification required
- Minimum 6+ years of professional work experience including a technical accounting role in a Big 4 accounting firm servicing large, public or private international financial services companies, with extensive knowledge of the financial reporting process, U.S. GAAP & IFRS technical accounting, SEC compliance and financial systems
Preferred Qualifications

Proven strong interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) to optimally collaborate with all levels of internal management throughout CNH, as well as, external auditors, attorneys, and underwriters.
- Proficiency in writing technical memos
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $119,250.00 - $174,900.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
