Job Purpose

The Returnable Containers Specialist is responsible to oversee the flow of returnable racks and containers between CNH European plants and suppliers. He/She is responsible for managing and optimizing planning and transportation operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of the containers. This role involves coordinating with internal departments and external partners to plan, track, and invoice the rental of the containers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focal point for returnable containers flows 
  • Monitor the requirements of plants and suppliers for returnable racks
  • Support plant, 3PL and suppliers in issues resolution (operational and administrative issues)
  • Check and oversee the correct calculation of rental charges
  • Support plants in the definition of returnable racks requirements and cost for budgeting purposes
  • Contribute to business case evaluations: returnable containers versus disposable packaging
  • Contribute to the insourcing of 3PL activities (contract exit, including stock-count, identification, ecc.)

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in packaging and racks management is a plus
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in transport logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Good understanding of plants logistics activities (material planning, transport planning)
  • Ability to liaise with different stakeholders: plants, suppliers, transporters and logistics provider
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills required (Excel + process oriented mindset)
  • Ability to work autonomously and with accuracy / precision
  • SAP ERP knowledge an advantage
  • English language a must
