Job Purpose
The Field Credit Specialist is responsible for managing the core floor planning activities and risks of an assigned dealer portfolio including specialized management of certain workout accounts. In addition to completing & coordinating floorplan inventory audits for large multi-location CNH Dealers, core responsibilities include facilitating improvement of a dealer's operational or financial weakness for future sustainability, inventory order management, controlling the day to day activity of a dealership and in some cases a retail end-user customer and minimizing a dealer’s risk to our CNH Capital Commercial Lending portfolio. The FCS will provide assistance to the other CNH Capital departments including Retail Operations and Asset Remarketing. The individual will be working closely with our CNH brand counterparts on order approvals, inventory management and developing action plans for the dealer to follow that ensure a positive outcome for all parties. The FCS will be required to provide detailed status updates to management, which may include determining the rational outcome of a dealer’s short and long sustainability within the CNH network.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect assets through the management of dealer credit lines, daily operations, inventory management, financial analysis, and cash flows.
- Modify dealer behavior in effort to mitigate risk.
- Ensure dealer loan collateral is maintained and security perfected, the value of equipment financed is appropriate, by assisting them with the development and implementation of an action plan to resolve short-term deficiencies while obtaining long-term sustainability.
- Conduct inventory audits ensuring appropriate actions are-taken to mitigate risk including collection, charging of fees, restricting dealer lines of credit and approving equipment & parts orders.
- Recommend and implement a reduction, or termination of credit lines based on the Dealer's ability and or willingness to pay.
- Propose and establish adequate reserves for dealers with an estimated risk of loss.
- Work with the Brand to determine dealer's financial growth potential with a minimal risk of loss
- Resolve weaknesses in the dealer's financial condition, management skills and work to improve performance by communicating closely with the Dealer, Brand, Parts, Network Development, other CNH Departments and outside institutions
- Coordinate with the Brand partners and Legal in the closing and the liquidation collateral in order to maximize value on terminated dealer accounts.
- Facilitate dealer terminations and litigations to minimize risk and loss to the company
- Resolve issues with the Brand Counterparts, on items related to the Wholesale financing of CNHI products
- Provide assistance to Operations and Underwriting in order to minimize overall risk to the company.
- Position requires extensive travel 30-60%
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit/banking and/or commercial credit
- Minimum 1 year experience in the equipment financing industry required, with knowledge and understanding of the dealer distribution channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Agri-Business
- CPA or similar skillset
- Brand, portfolio management, or audit experience
- Experience in managing a customer relationship from sales, underwriting, or portfolio management perspective
- Demonstrated PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalent software
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $72,750.00 - $106,700.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
