Job Purpose
The Systems Engineer will have had previous experience in delivering system and control and/or in integrating features and hardware from external suppliers. Understanding of model base software and coding techniques will be a plus.
Key Responsibilities

System Design & Control: Design control strategies, system architectures, and algorithms (continuous and discrete domain) with a focus on robustness and optimality.

Signal Processing: Apply analog and digital signal processing techniques (sensor fusion, observers, etc.).

Subsystem Integration: Manage the interaction between complex subsystems and related calibrations to ensure optimized system performance.

Model-Based Development: Contribute to model-based software design, implementation, and unit testing.

Debug & Validation: Perform system/software debugging, support validation activities, and problem resolution.

Documentation: Develop technical documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to support solution analysis and communication.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Platforms and Central Areas (Electro-Hydraulics, Driveline, Cab, Engine) across all program phases.

Design Reviews & Risk Management: Actively participate in design reviews, DFMEA, risk assessments, and other technical meetings.

Innovation: Encourage new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents, and continuous product improvements.

Project Management: Manage workload and project prioritization according to direct manager’s guidance.

Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on engineering and off-highway technology developments through field visits, industry meetings, and professional associations.
Experience Required
- Master degree in Engineering or Technical discipline (Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science) or related
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on system development experience
- 6+ months within any of the following industries: Agriculture, Construction, On/Off Highway, Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Aerospace, Railway.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to travel worldwide as required to meet the demands of assigned programs
- Previous experience with complete electronic vehicle systems architecture and software
- Good knowledge about analog and digital signal processing
- Good knowledge of electronic components and communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
- Experience in a strong cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency in completion of multiple small to large projects from conception to product release
- Capability to simplify complexity
- Design, develop, debug and unit test C/C++ source code for embedded controllers while applying best practice software methodologies.
- Models of electro-hydraulic systems and/or driveline as white or black box.
- Knowledge (even scholar) about robust and optimal control
- Basic (even scholar) knowledge of SW modelling tools (Matlab, Simulink), ‘C’ programming language and Automatic Code Generation tools (TargetLink)
- Ability to use MS office suite of software (Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Strong debugging, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of DFMEA, system/software validation, and testing methodologies.
