Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

This position ensures inventory integrity—a critical component of accurate financial reporting. By combining inventory oversight, SOX compliance, root-cause resolution, and continuous process improvement, this role strengthens internal controls, minimizes risk, supports audit readiness, and drives strategic insights across the organization.

· Oversee accurate inventory processes, including perpetual and periodic systems.

· Supervise cycle-count programs and full physical audits—review plan schedules, supervise execution, support investigation of discrepancies, and follow up root-cause analyses for unexplained variances and action plan implementation.

· Follow up SOX testing of key inventory-related financial controls: design, documentation, effectiveness, remediation

· Maintain internal control frameworks, SOX documentation (control narratives, flowcharts, control matrices), and monitor control environments

· Support internal and external audits—coordinate, guarantee that industrial controllers prepare evidence, report deficiencies, and implement corrective actions

· Identify opportunities to strengthen inventory processes—update policies (SOPs), streamline operations, and implement best practices

· Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, and Internal Audit.

· Develop reports and dashboards (e.g., using Power BI, Excel, Power Query) to track compliance status.

· Provide training and guidance on inventory policies, SOX controls, count procedures, and change initiatives.

Experience Required

Preferred Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, financial reporting, or SOX/internal audit roles; experience with cycle counts and physical inventories.

· SOX/Internal Controls: desirable understanding of SOX 404 and ICFR, including design, testing, remediation, and documentation frameworks (COSO)

· Technical Skills: ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.); advanced Excel; familiarity with BI/data tools

· Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication, project management capability, and ability to build cross-functional relationships.
