Key Responsibilities
Duties: The Quality Engineer – Project Lead at CNH Industrial America LLC in Sturtevant, WI will be responsible for focusing on addressing quality issues instantly as it pertains to Man/Method/Machine matters. Develop and implement programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services. Develop programs to focus employees on quality improvement. Conduct Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and Quality Control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at different stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. Collect and analyze statistical data from processes to confirm compliance with established standards and identify deviations from those values. Develop, assure, and maintain the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 family of standards), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, and process re-engineering. Develop policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and operations. Advise on new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards. Implement new tooling for better process control and safety concerns. Collaborate with design engineering to propose changes for eliminating safety concerns and quality defects. Assist in reducing Application Protocol Data Unit (ADPU) by root cause countermeasure of daily defects. Replace missing torque tools in station; Implement engineering changes. Analyze warranty claims from customers, comprehend how the assembly process effects the claims, implement robust countermeasures to eliminate defects. Assisting in pareto hydraulic oil leaks for both internal and external customers and perform root cause countermeasure activities for each defect. Investigate new process, tooling, and design changes to eliminate defects. Investigate electrical routing, specifically around the engine harness, to prevent pinch points. Improve overall design for assembly and design for manufacturing to reduce and eliminate customer focused flaws. Participate in Design Failure Modes and Affects for new engineering releases prior to implementing on the assembly floor. Salary: $69,347- $96,600/year
Experience Required
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a directly related field plus 2 years of experience as manufacturing engineer or related occupation. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) RCA/8D methodology for root cause analysis and corrective action; (2) SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software for product and tooling design; (3) DFMEA and PFMEA analysis for risk assessment and mitigation; (4) Lean manufacturing principles and implementation; (5) Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Minitab for data analysis; (6) Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement; (7) Quality Management Systems, including ISO 14001-2015, ISO 45001- 2018, and ISO 50001-2018; (8) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; (9) inspection tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges; and (10) control plans and process audits for continuous improvement.
