Job Purpose

We are seeking a Labor and Employment Relations Specialist to join our Racine Plant Human Resources team. This position supports Region/Country HR teams in managing labor relations, ensuring compliance with national labor laws, and fostering constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives. This role provides expert guidance on collective agreements, disciplinary actions, and labor law matters, contributing to a stable and legally compliant work environment. In addition to supporting processes in unionized environments, this role plays a key part in fostering employee engagement and implementing proactive practices at non-represented sites, where present helping to maintain strong relationships with employees and promoting a transparent, inclusive, and unified workplace culture across all locations

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration and implementation of the organizations labor relations collective bargaining agreement, policies and procedures to include unfair labor practices, disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration.
  • Represents organization on all Union grievances at all steps of the procedure.
  • Maintains positive relations by advising managers on all aspects of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Investigates employee relations issues, mediates conflict determine outcome in a timely manner. 
  • Research/investigate current and potential labor relations issues to evaluate the impact on business operations. 
  • Partner with bargaining unit representatives to improve resolution opportunities.
  • Identify labor relation issues, trends and problem areas or trends and recommends solutions. 
  • Participate in contract negotiations. 
  • Manage manpower placement and movement, identify training gaps, and maintain training records.
  • Partner with North American Labor Relations Manager on arbitrations, ULPs, and other labor relation issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of labor and employee relations experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 8 or more years of labor and employee/Union relations experience will be considered.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $132,825.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
