Job Purpose

The Internal Logistics Manager is responsible for leading all interplant logistics operations in support of an agricultural manufacturing facility. This role oversees the movement of materials from receiving through point-of-use production, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted material flow while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, inventory accuracy, and cost performance.

The successful candidate will lead both internal logistics personnel and third-party logistics partners while developing strategies that improve safety, service, productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational performance across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all production material flow activities, ensuring uninterrupted line-side material availability through efficient line feeding, point-of-use inventory management, supermarket operations, and material delivery systems that support production schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Manage all kitting, sequencing, supermarket replenishment, and production replenishment operations to ensure materials are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time while optimizing labor utilization and material flow.
  • Lead conforming, decanting, and Kanban tote operations to ensure materials are properly prepared, standardized, and presented for production. Drive standardized work, inventory accuracy, and continuous material flow to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control strategies that ensure inventory accuracy through robust cycle count programs, inventory audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Lead all inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring accurate receiving, efficient shipping execution, carrier performance, transportation coordination, and customer service excellence.
  • Lead the Logistics Engineering team responsible for warehouse optimization, material flow design, facility layouts, labor planning, automation initiatives, capacity analysis, process improvement, continuous improvement projects, and returnable packaging strategy.
  • Lead fulfillment operations supporting Breakdown Assistance Program and Dealer Direct Program activities while consistently achieving customer service and delivery objectives.
  • Partner with Parts and Service Organization to ensure timely material availability, order fulfillment, and continuous improvement of service logistics performance.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading hourly and salaried teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and material flow.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within agricultural equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • APICS/ASCM certification, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, PMP, or other related professional certifications.
  • Experience implementing warehouse automation, material flow optimization, or continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $106,725.00 - $142,300.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
