Job Purpose

Do you enjoy turning data into meaningful commercial decisions and influencing pricing strategy in a fast‑paced environment?

 

We’re looking for a Commercial Controller to support our Financial Services business across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you’ll ensure the integrity of commercial data while delivering insights and governance that directly support business performance.

 

You’ll take ownership of end‑to‑end pricing activities, from monthly rate setting through to pricing committee coordination and communication. Partnering closely with Sales, FP&A, and Finance teams, you’ll help balance growth, competitiveness, and profitability across our retail and wholesale finance portfolios.

 

This is a high‑impact, visible role where your analysis and recommendations directly influence pricing strategy, sales performance, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end pricing activities, including rate setting, analysis, and governance
  • Prepare and present pricing recommendations, market insights, and performance updates to the Pricing Committee
  • Monitor and optimise pricing concessions and commercial support programs
  • Partner with Sales and FP&A to analyse strike rates and performance drivers
  • Deliver clear commercial insights, reporting, and forecasting support
  • Coordinate across Finance, Sales, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and consistency
  • Support executive and investor reporting
  • Maintain strong governance, controls, and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting

Experience Required

  • Experience in commercial finance, pricing, or financial services
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (advanced Excel)
  • Confident communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, with a solid understanding of pricing and profitability
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working within governance and compliance frameworks
  • Collaborative, with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated environment is highly regarded
