Job Purpose

The Agronomist will join Agronomic Design & Research (ADR) team and contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable agricultural practices related to Crop Production products, planters in particular. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crop science, soil management, agricultural technology, and hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field trials and research to improve crop yields and soil health using agronomic data and precision farming systems.
  • Analyze soil, water, and plant samples to recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Develop and implement crop management plans tailored to specific environments.
  • Advise Crop Production teams on best practices for planting and fertilization.
  • Monitor crop performance and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest agricultural technologies and trends.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Experience Required

  • Master's Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in agronomy or agronomic-related research.
  • Strong knowledge of soil fertility, plant nutrition, and pest management.
  • Proficiency in agricultural software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office settings.
  • Ability to interact easily in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D.  in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with agricultural equipment products.
  • Experience with instrumentation and testing with research apparatus.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $73,000.00 - $106,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
