We're looking for an experienced Facilities Manager based in St Marys, NSW to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our site. This role is responsible for the management of facilities, contractors, site infrastructure, workplace safety programs and a fleet of approximately 110 company vehicles.
Working across a broad range of operational and strategic priorities, you'll oversee contractor performance, facilities budgets, capital improvement projects, site compliance and emergency preparedness, while ensuring a safe and productive workplace for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Contractor Management
- Manage facilities services including cleaning, security, fire systems, waste management and grounds maintenance
- Lead contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring service, compliance and performance standards are met
- Oversee maintenance programs and coordinate repair and improvement works
- Monitor contractor performance, safety compliance and service delivery
- Support site infrastructure projects and long-term facilities planning
- Ensure compliance with council, building and statutory requirements
Safety & Compliance
- Lead the Site Safety Committee and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee emergency preparedness, including Fire Wardens, First Aid teams and evacuation processes
- Manage fire safety compliance and statutory reporting requirements
- Conduct site inspections and support risk management activities
- Ensure contractor and visitor compliance with site requirements
Fleet Management
- Manage a fleet of approximately 125 vehicles, including leasing, maintenance, registrations and telematics
- Maintain fleet reporting, dashboards and compliance records
- Manage fleet suppliers and associated expenditure
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet utilisation, cost efficiency and driver safety
- Deliver driver education and fleet-related communications
Financial Management & Capital Projects
- Manage the Facilities budget, forecasting and expenditure
- Oversee purchase orders, invoices and facilities-related procurement
- Coordinate site upgrades, infrastructure improvements and capital projects
- Prepare reports and analyses to support business planning and decision-making
Administration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key point of contact for site-related enquiries
- Coordinate contractor visits and site access requirements
- Support workplace initiatives and site events
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across facilities, safety and fleet operations
Experience Required
You are a hands-on facilities professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with continuous improvement initiatives.
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in facilities, contractor and/or fleet management within a commercial, industrial, manufacturing, warehousing or distribution environment
- Proven experience managing contractors and service providers, including SLA and KPI management
- Strong understanding of facilities compliance, workplace health and safety, and contractor management requirements
- Experience managing building maintenance, workplace infrastructure and site support services
- Experience managing budgets, expenditure and capital improvement projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing corporate vehicle fleets and associated suppliers is highly regarded
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using facilities, fleet or ERP systems
- Relevant facilities management qualifications and/or First Aid & CPR certification are highly regarded
