Job Purpose
The Systems Engineer II at CNH Industrial participates in the definition and integration of precision farming systems into a complete, high-performing solution for agricultural equipment. This role supports the development of precision farming systems - including auto-guidance, telemetry, connectivity, vehicle control, mapping, ISOBUS, and service - by translating customer and stakeholder needs into system-level requirements, architecture, and technical solutions.
The Systems Engineer II collaborates with software, hardware, and product management organizations to deliver scalable, customer-focused systems aligned with CNH’s product and technology strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain product-level feature specifications, system layouts, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
- Translate stakeholder, customer, regulatory, and product requirements into clear system-level requirements and subsystem definitions.
- Support development of system architecture and integration strategies for auto-guidance, telemetry, connectivity, vehicle control, mapping, ISOBUS, and service
- Work across software, hardware, verification and validation testing, to coordinate system definition, integration, and issue resolution.
- Review and support product verification and validation activities to ensure full system requirement coverage and compliance with applicable standards.
- Support investigation and resolution of product and field issues using a structured, fact-based engineering approach.
- Execute systems engineering best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Demonstrate support for company culture and teamwork in daily activities.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 2+ years of engineering experience in product development or systems engineering.
- Experience defining and documenting system requirements and feature specifications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams under limited supervision.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators.
- Understanding of electrical systems (circuits, power distribution, signal behavior)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment operations and farming practices.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication networks and protocols such as CAN, J1939, and ISO 11783.
- Experience with tools such as: CANalyzer / CANoe, Polarion, Jira, Confluence
- Background in electronics prototyping or wiring harness development
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $132,825.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
