Intern Program Overview

Summer interns work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.

Job Purpose

The Precision Digital Solutions Field Support Intern will support the Field Technical Support team during the deployment and validation of next-generation precision agriculture technologies. This role will assist with the installation, configuration, and monitoring of precision solutions hardware and software systems on agricultural equipment, including retrofit applications on customer machines.

Working alongside technical specialists, engineering teams, dealers, and customers, the intern will participate in field evaluations, beta testing activities, remote system monitoring, and troubleshooting efforts. The role provides hands-on experience with advanced agricultural technology, connected machine systems, telematics, agronomy-driven digital solutions, and precision farming applications while contributing directly to the successful launch and adoption of new products.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of precision agriculture hardware and software systems on production and retrofit agricultural equipment.

Support field deployment activities for beta and pre-production precision farming solutions at customer and dealer locations.

Monitor machine performance and system health through connected vehicle and over-the-air diagnostic platforms.

Conduct routine follow-up inspections and system validation activities for pilot and beta installations.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, GPS/GNSS, display, sensor, and vehicle network issues under the guidance of technical specialists.

Collect, document, and analyze field observations, software logs, machine telemetry, and customer feedback to support product improvement activities.

Assist engineering, product management, and product support teams in identifying, reproducing, and resolving field issues.

Support customer and dealer training activities related to new precision technology solutions.

Create technical documentation, installation guides, troubleshooting procedures, and deployment reports.

Participate in field testing and validation of new digital agriculture features and precision farming capabilities.

Travel to customer sites, dealerships, test locations, and agricultural operations to support installation and evaluation activities.

Gain experience with precision agriculture systems, guidance technologies, telematics, machine connectivity, digital agronomy platforms, and product launch processes.

Experience Required

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) an Associates or Technical degree

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $20.34 - plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
