Job Purpose

As a Data Analyst, you will design, develop, and evaluate infrastructure, data processors, and persistence from concept through production stage, and make modifications as needed.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Works closely with subject matter experts, perform one-time, quantitative, or statistical analysis or periodic reports to answer specific questions.
  • Works from a curated data set or data dump.
  • Create visualizations to effectively communicate results.
  • Identify and effectively communicate problems or inconsistencies in a data set.
  • Identify and access appropriate data sources.
  • Identify and effectively communicate and mitigate problems or inconsistencies in a data set.
  • Deploy, test and maintain data platform
  • Responsible for conducting testing on large scale data platforms
  • Generate transformed data exports to support other teams.
  • Provide recommendations for data improvement, quality and efficiency of data
  • Development of data processors for data validation, data modeling, mining and data production
  • Work with teams generating data to understand the purpose, application, valid states, and interoperability of data needs.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the domains of cloud computing and data analytics.
  • Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Economics or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with query languages (SQL).
  • Proficient with analytical tools such as Excel, Python, and Notebooks.
  • Ability to use dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Grafana, or Superset.Experience with Cloud Computing (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).
  • Proficiency in Automation, Provisioning, and Orchestration tools (Gitlab Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Understanding of ETL pipelines, streaming services, and storage/access patterns.
  • Experience writing software to develop pipeline processors, ideally in Python.
  • Ability to Create and Integrate API interfaces
  • Good understanding of Core computing concepts like programming and algorithms to build robust data systems
  • Should possess knowledge of data warehouse and big data technologies
  • Experience with version control specifically Gitlab
  • High level of patience and service.
  • Ability to motivate team members.
  • Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
  • Creative and out of the box thinking to solve problems creatively
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members across a wide variety of specialties and leadership staff.
  • Understanding the development, persistence, and application of Machine Learning datasets is desired but not required.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is $63,000 - $84,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
