Job Purpose

This position will test and evaluate Seeding equipment in actual or simulated field conditions. The role will make recommendations for new hardware and software feature development, enhance functional performance and work with the development teams to resolve product issues. CNH Industrial Job level depends on applicant’s skill, knowledge, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute Lab and Field whole vehicle evaluation on Seeding projects.  Support completion of projects, development of results / conclusions and collaborate with Engineering to improve seeding products.  
  2. Field - Evaluate operational performance of pre-production test implements and components.  Make recommendations for enhancement of implement performance
  3. Evaluate performance, diagnose component and system malfunctions, isolate problems and recommend improvements in the development of seeding equipment
  4. Evaluate customer appeal and value of product features.
  5. Submit timely and concise machine activity reports, including documentation of findings of specific observed incidents, parts installation / removal and completion of test requests.  Maintain accurate and comprehensive test records for reference and analysis.
  6. Maintain the company provided equipment to support testing such as service vehicles, trailers, test equipment and tools for efficient operation.
  7. Work directly with other members (internal customers) of the Platform Team including design, marketing and manufacturing, as well as other test organizations within CNH.
  8. Work with external customers (dealers and farmers) and CNH commercial representatives to assure adequate test coverage, security/confidentiality and a favorable Company image to contacts.

Experience Required

  1. Completion of High School, Trade School, or possess equivalent G.E.D certificate.
  2. Operational competency with seeding equipment.
  3. Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical applications.
  4. Basic computer skills. The candidate should have experience with personal computers, MS Office products and databases.
  5. Candidates require a technical and functional understanding of software user interfaces
  6. Good oral and written communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work with cross discipline teams as well as being a strong individual contributor.

Capable of traveling to North American test locations for extended periods of time (10% of the time).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Farming background would be preferred
  2. Assembly and/or EOL testing experience preferred
