Job Purpose
We are looking for a North America Tax Manager. This position is located in Waterford, WI and is eligible for our hybrid work environment working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote/home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Each NA Tax Manager will be responsible for a pre-determined set of workstreams to be divided along any number of potential lines: regional consolidation reporting/capital consolidation reporting/industrial consolidation reporting and further by accounting and compliance functions along jurisdictional assignment
- Manage the North America tax accounting/forecasting processes with a tax footprint that represents an average annual income tax risk of USD$260 million across US, Canada, and Mexico, and deferred income tax assets comprised of 75+ attributes with an average value of USD$454M million (2-year avg annual) across 30 legal entities.
- Manage direct tax compliance obligations and related audit/controversy activities of the US and Canadian entities (filing approximately 120 federal/national/state annual income tax returns) with the support of 4 direct tax analysts, and a rotational development position
- Provide leadership and oversight of the Indirect Tax workstreams directly overseeing the 2-person team for US/Canada indirect tax operations for the monthly sales/use and GST/HST returns plus additional PST/QST and provincial filings) and audits
- Ownership and accountability for the execution of all tax-related entity level internal controls and SOX compliance activities for the NA Tax operations, as determined by the Global Income Tax Director
- Actively identify and engage in on-going continuous improvement projects with the objective of simplification, standardization and automation
- Work closely with the CNH Transfer pricing team to proactively manage US cross-border tax risk
- Research and planning projects as-needed
The annual salary for this role is $105,750 - $155,100 USD (actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role).
Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of tax experience with large public accounting firm or publicly traded company
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with software and system applications (SAP, Cognos, Corptax etc.) with ability to lead data automation projects using software tools such as PowerBI, Qlik View etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work on cross-functional teams and effectively communicate in a large, international, matrixed organization.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and complete work timely & accurately
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $105,750.00 - $155,100.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
