Job Purpose
The Inventory Deployment Specialist is responsible for managing the strategic allocation of parts across our depot network in North America to ensure timely availability of parts to meet customer demand. This role focuses on balancing depot constraints with facing fill targets to optimize inventory levels and improve overall deployment efficiency. The specialist collaborates closely with depot operations, logistics, expediting, and planning teams to align material availability with service expectations, space limitations, and forecasted needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory deployment strategies by monitoring depot inventory levels and analyzing historical demand patterns and seasonality trends to maintain optimal stocking levels at each of our depots, ensuring parts availability aligns with customer demand.
- Identify areas for improvement in inventory deployment processes, stock balancing, and service level performance, and implement data-driven corrective actions.
- Collaborate with depot operations team to align inventory levels with order fulfillment workloads, labor capacity, and space availability.
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, expediting, and planning teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely movement and availability of parts
- Use ERP, Databricks, and Cognos tools to develop actionable insights, create deployment models, and generate regular reports on key inventory KPIs (e.g., fill rate, days on hand, excess/obsolete inventory).
Experience Required
- High school diploma/GED.
- Five (5) or more years of professional experience in business, supply chain, mathematics, or statistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, data analytics, or a related field
- Demonstrated problem solving and data analysis
- Understanding of inventory KPIs, forecasting methods, or space planning principles
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is $84,375 - $112,500 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
