Job Purpose
CNH Industrial is continually looking to build, manage and transform our internal and external technologies to be efficient, reliable, secure and scalable, while effectively meeting the changing needs of our business. To support this endeavor, we are seeking a seasoned ICT Supplier Relationship Manager, to ensure our global, third-party suppliers are effectively managed through the relationship lifecycle, in line with overarching technical strategies, goals and objectives. This includes supporting supplier delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions and services, while strengthening partnerships and building longer term strategic alliances that add on-going value to our organization’s overall mission.
Key Responsibilities
The ICT SRM will be assigned an ICT supplier “book of business” to manage, contingent on the needs of our ICT stakeholders. For each supplier relationship assigned the SRM may perform any of the following tasks, to ensure each vendor relationship is appropriately managed throughout the supplier relationship lifecycle.
- Facilitate supplier selection, onboarding/integration and/or resourcing decisions.
- Identification and decomposition of the external services needed by CNH technology teams.
- Interpretation and understanding of current contracts, implicated in sourcing events.
- Interactions with CNH Indirect supply management to find and fill vendor gaps in supply base
- Benchmarking activities between possible external vendors Proof of Concept reviews and demos (new vendor sources)
- On boarding assistance of new vendors
- Assistance to ICT stakeholders in the coordination of RFP’s, vendor work extensions or sole source awards, including coordination of appropriate contracting documents, MSA, SOW, LSA, etc.
- Participation in negotiations, as requested.
- In conjunction with peers in the technical and purchasing areas, coordinate the development of business cases to support desired supplier award decisions, as necessary and other data needed for decision support.
- Supplier delivery, performance and escalations
- Act as liaison/designated point of contact between vendor, technical, commercial and legal stakeholders.
- Maintain priorities for external vendors for multiple CNH stakeholders
- Creation and maintenance of vendor profiles, including updates as changes occur.
- Coordination and collection of appropriate relationship metrics and update to scorecards as requested.
- Partner with internal colleagues, IT and Purchasing leadership teams to understand and eliminate pain points with assigned suppliers.
- Resolution path for CNH Industrial and vendor escalation items
- Facilitation and/or participation in vendor status meetings, including vendor/internal performance discussions, project progress meetings, monthly report-outs, etc.
- Spend management of external services for suppliers assigned, including:
- Budget Planning with department leads, as it relates to supplier cost or pricing models
- Understanding of actual costs to budget, and resolution of any cost variances with vendor and ICT stakeholders.
- Clear understanding of contract terms and conditions of executed contracts, including commercial terms, KPI and SLA requirements, expiration dates and impact to budgets, forecasts and billing/payment terms. Proactively manage and report as required for vendors assigned.
- Supplier portfolio management, including input into efforts to rationalize IT supply base, while ensuring the right mix of suppliers to categories/services supported. Input into greater supplier portfolio value metrics.
- Monitor and evaluate performance against contract commitments (KPI’s/SLA’s) etc. Maintain monthly status and trend reports.
- Management of vendor scorecard.
- Maintain supplier master data for assigned supplier portfolio, including spend and performance history,
- Management of active supplier contracts, including effective execution of key terms and conditions. Clear understanding and able to articulate performance expectations to both supplier of IT team collaborators.
- Coordination of vendor specific top to top meetings, innovation sharing forums and/or other large cross team/functional events.
Experience Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems or Engineering in the following disciplines (mechanical, electrical, industrial, instrumentation, agriculture) OR a Technical Diploma with relevant experience and demonstrated leadership.
- 5 years of experience working in supplier management role (purchasing, supplier development, supplier project management, etc).
- Strong analytical skills, and ability to extrapolate data trends, patterns, etc.
- Strategic thought, and general curiosity of technology market changes/innovations.
- General understanding of embedded and cloud software terminology
- Demonstrated experience managing complex tasks with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated leadership as an individual contributor using influence and negotiation to build consensus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Budget management experience
- Contract negotiation experience
- Clear understanding of the application of contract terms and conditions, commercial, technical and economic.
- Languages: Fluent English
- Travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing embedded electronics (software & hardware) and/or cloud software suppliers
- Demonstrated experience managing electro-hydraulic or electro-mechanical suppliers
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is $119,250 - $159,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
