Job Purpose

The Asset Recovery Specialist is responsible for the timely resolution of high-risk retail and lease accounts assigned for repossession and negotiating customer settlements for potential redemptions while contributing to the monthly delinquency and customer service goals and objectives of CNH Capital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee an assigned portfolio of high-risk accounts to ensure the timely resolution of repossession and/or prompt redemption with customer utilizing U.S. recovery vendors or Canadian bailiffs
  • Utilize all available tools such as online-payments and structuring payment plans to maximize collection efforts and mitigate losses on accounts assigned for repossession.
  • Evaluate high-risk accounts for litigation based on customer history, collateral values, account activity, and potential collectability
  • Analyze non-performing accounts and collateral values for potential charge-off if repossession is not cost-effective
  • Draft and circulate loss forms for approval on completed repossessions and charge-offs
  • Assist Collections with customer calling campaigns on retail loans, leases, and productivity plus revolving lines of credit to reduce overall delinquency and improve portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer and/or dealer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives by meeting individualized performance metrics and targets
  • Promote a customer centric culture by delivering a positive customer experience and ensuring the customer retention goals, customer service KPIs and delinquency targets for CNH Capital are a top priority.

Experience Required

  • Associates degree (business-related field such as finance, management or business administration preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience in Collections and/or Customer Service
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule between the hours of 8am and 7pm with the potential for some weekday overtime and/or Saturdays from 8am to 2pm as business conditions dictate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss and resolve complex issues with customers and dealers
  • Soft Skills that include active listening, empathy, flexibility, conflict resolution, teamwork, collaboration, patience, and dependability
  • Working knowledge and proficiency of CNH systems including but not limited to:  Asset Finance, Default Manager and Feith
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Prior call center experience within the financial services or commercial banking industry a plus
