Job Purpose
Duties: The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Sturtevant, WI will be responsible for developing and defining concepts and manufacturing processes for and as an integral part of all new product and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM/DFA (design for manufacturability and assembly) and FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis). Developing manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments to facilitate the definition and specifications of the assembly processes. Improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities. Developing, designing, and planning equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities. Evaluating worker productivity and recommend improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions. Developing metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks. Establishing accident prevention measures and plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operation and ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines. Resolving technical problems and recommend production improvements. Salary: $104,915 - $129,375 p/yr.
Experience Required
Minimum Requirements: Requires a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related field and three years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or related occupation. In lieu of a master’s degree plus three years of experience, employer will accept a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related field and five years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or related occupation. Experience must include three years of experience with each of the following: 1) manufacturing industry; 2) advanced engineering methods, including Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/DFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA); 3) virtual CAD tools and systems for simulating new designs during development; 4) coordinating the product launch process from design to production line implementation; 5) developing manufacturing processes, evaluating tooling needs, conducting cost analysis, and determining capability requirements; 6) performing analyses, including time studies, ergonomic assessments, and process flow evaluations; 7) utilizing methodologies, tools, and systems for manufacturing process planning and problem management; and 8) implementing change control processes to manage design updates for the manufacturing team.
