Job Purpose
As the Outbound Transport Logistics Senior Specialist, this analytical role within the logistics function is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving outbound transportation and distribution processes. The role involves data analysis, performance tracking, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure outbound operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to conduct logistics operations starting from receipt of product from production till dispatch through the plant FG yard and transportation alignment. All these activities are carried out through 3PL in the plant which needs to be managed by the role.
- To manage stockyards – FG Inventory, safe & optimum parking of Finished product through 3PL.
- To manage independently complete outbound logistics & dispatch operations of domestics/export
- Manage Transporters and build capacity for transportation as per the sales plan for domestic & export.
- Manage & maintain freight agreements/contracts for transportation and logistics services
- To manage service providers for efficient logistics operations
- To set right systems and process for documentation, ERP and MIS activities – invoicing, freight bill processing, insurance claim process, E-way bill generation, taxation, and compliance etc.
- Being compliant with CNH revenue recognition model
- To have sound understanding of state level transport document requirement and statutory complianceEnsure proper PDI & packaging of shipment
- Ensure timely and error-free execution of documents
- Ensure stockyard is working as per defined process & required infrastructural needs are fulfilled
- To control freight cost and improve on-time dispatch & delivery, quality and safety parameters
- To engage with stakeholders – transporters, dealers, sales & regional office, production and Quality
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success and/or recurring problems
- Develop processes that enable zero quality defects, share containment & planned corrective actions
- Drive digital projects in TL as per local/global roadmap
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Participate in LSP Techno commercial evaluation & 3PL Management
- Prepare & maintain annual/monthly provision tracker and timely MIS reports
- Preparation of budget and forecast
- Monthly KPI review with LSP
- Claims Management and reverse logistics
- Driving logistics cost reduction projects
Experience Required
9~14 years
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma/BE (Mechanical) or MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Materials management is preferable
Experience in Automotive/Agricultural/Construction industry preferred
Logistics knowledge: transport, customs, export, warehousing, distribution, packaging, etc
Excellent communication, collaboration & presentation skills
Proficient in Transport Management System
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is INR ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,100,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
