Job Purpose

The Classification Analyst supports CNH’s Global Classification Hub by performing day‑to‑day customs classification activities for parts and products across North America, EMEA, and India.

This role ensures that every product crossing a border receives an accurate HS code assignment in line with CNH’s global methodology, customs regulations, and internal governance standards.

The position is central to building a unified, efficient, and compliant global classification process and is a key contributor to automation, data quality, and duty‑mitigation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify products through the analysis of mechanical drawings and technical documentation
  • Classify imported and exported goods in accordance with applicable customs regulations
  • Conduct analyses related to rulings on customs classification
  • Optimize classification processes and systems to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and apply relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Analyze and continuously improve classification-related processes
  • Support both manual and automated self-assessment activities for preferential origin calculations
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of corrective actions resulting from findings during audits and self-assessments

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or degree in mechanical or engineering disciplines, with a solid understanding of automotive industry products
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience in Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
  • Knowledge of international customs practices and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other business intelligence tools
