Job Purpose

• This role is responsible for Project Coordinator – Advance Purchasing to drive and coordinate purchasing activities for New Product Development (NPD) and current product enhancement projects.
• The role will involve close coordination with Project Management, Engineering, Commodity Purchasing, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure timely component development, sourcing, validation, and readiness in line with project milestones

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Production, Commodity and Supplier teams to ensure successful execution of new product development projects.
• Drive component development activities for new and existing products in accordance with project timelines.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, milestone trackers, action plans and MIS dashboards.
• Monitor supplier-wise and part-wise development status and proactively identify potential delays and risks.
• Coordinate with Commodity Purchasing teams for supplier identification, RFQ, quotation analysis, commercial evaluation and supplier finalization.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely completion of tooling, prototypes, samples, trials, validation and production readiness.
• Coordinate with Supplier Quality/QA teams for APQP, PPAP, quality approvals and resolution of development-related issues.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure timely closure of open actions.
• Track critical-path components and escalate delays/issues to relevant stakeholders.

Experience Required

1. 12 to 18 years of experience in Off-highway/ Automotive/ Industrial industry preferred

2. Strong project coordination and execution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree / Diploma in Engineering + MBA (added advantage)
