Job Purpose
The Product Specialist – All Purpose Platform (APH & APL Standard High) is a key member of the Global Product Management team, responsible for representing the Voice of Customer throughout the product lifecycle and ensuring the competitiveness, profitability, and long-term success of the assigned product portfolio. The role serves as the primary link between Product Management and Product Development, collaborating closely with Platform, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, and Commercial teams.
The incumbent is responsible for managing product configurations, translating customer, dealer, and market requirements into product specifications, supporting new product development, benchmarking competitive offerings, and ensuring that product solutions meet customer needs while aligning with the Strategic Product Range Plan (SPRP).

Key Responsibilities
Product Definition & Voice of Customer
- Represent the Voice of Customer throughout the product development process by collecting, analysing, and translating customer, dealer, and market feedback into product requirements.
- Identify product gaps, customer needs, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and market trends that influence future product development.
- Collaborate with Product Portfolio Management to ensure alignment with the Strategic Product Range Plan (SPRP).
Competitive Benchmarking & Market Intelligence
- Lead competitive benchmarking activities to evaluate competing products in terms of performance, features, design, technology, quality, serviceability, total cost of ownership, and customer value proposition.
- Analyse industry trends, competitor launches, customer expectations, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and define future product targets.
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to Product Management and Engineering teams.
Product Requirements & Portfolio Management
- Develop and maintain Product Profiles, translating customer requirements into measurable product specifications including performance, reliability, fuel efficiency, quality, serviceability, operating costs, and customer value.
- Define and maintain Product Offerings (PO), ensuring alignment between commercial configurations and product architecture.
- Support complexity reduction and modularity initiatives through volume and gross margin analysis by option, while partnering closely with the regions to drive complexity reduction actions and maximize business impact.
- Support feature planning, option packaging, specification management, and lifecycle management activities.
- Maintain feature and specification documentation for internal and commercial use.
Product Development Support
- Work closely with Engineering, Platform Teams, Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing to support product development activities.
- Define build configurations for development, validation, pre-build, demonstration, and launch units.
- Participate in product reviews, customer clinics, benchmarking events, and validation activities to ensure customer requirements are effectively reflected in final product solutions.
Commercial & Market Support
- Provide technical and product expertise to regional commercial teams, dealers, and product marketing organizations.
- Support product launches, demonstrations, customer events, dealer training, and field activities.
- Assist markets with product configuration, product offering decisions, special customer requests, and commercialisation activities.
- Support the development of product positioning, customer value propositions, and go-to-market materials.

Experience Required
- 3–7 years of experience in:
- Product Management
- Product Marketing
- Engineering
- Commercial Product Support
- Agricultural Equipment Industry
- Strong knowledge of tractor applications, customer operations, and agricultural equipment markets.
- Experience working with product development processes and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in competitive benchmarking, market analysis, and customer requirement gathering is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agribusiness, or related field.

Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is EUR 44200 - 52000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
