Job Purpose

The Cab, Chassis & Body Product Engineer based in Piracicaba is part of a global Product Engineering team responsible for cab and operator platform systems, ladders, physical user interfaces, body panels, styling and related vehicle integration for CNH harvesting products. This role will primarily support Case IH Sugar Cane Harvester products produced in Piracicaba while contributing to global New Holland and Case IH platforms where applicable.

The position works with moderate technical autonomy to deliver robust engineering solutions in collaboration with local and global engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, validation, service, and supplier teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate cab, operator platform, ladder, body panel, styling, and vehicle interface components.
  • Cover cab interior and exterior topics, including visibility, noise, vibration, and HVAC integration with system engineering.
  • Translate product requirements, customer needs, regulations, manufacturing inputs, and platform goals into practical engineering solutions.
  • Use materials, manufacturing, welding, heat/surface treatment, GD&T, DFMEA, and problem-solving knowledge to support robust designs.
  • Interpret FEA, CFD, and NVH results with specialists and turn findings into practical design improvements.
  • Finalize releases, support initial builds, resolve manufacturing or supplier issues, and ensure production readiness.
  • Create, review, and release concepts, 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications, BOMs, test requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate technical work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, validation, service, design, and supplier teams.
  • Analyze product issues, identify root causes, define corrective actions, validate solutions, and support production implementation.
  • Deliver assigned project tasks, manage risks and roadblocks, propose mitigations, and communicate status clearly.
  • Act as the local engineering reference for issue resolution, working independently on structured tasks and escalating complex decisions as needed.
  • Support harvesting products as needed, including combine, cotton, and sugar cane harvesters. Occasional travel may be required for development, suppliers, manufacturing, validation, or field activities.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in product engineering, product development or similar technical role.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • CAD and PLM systems such as Creo and Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of polymer materials and applications
  • Ability to work with an off-site manager while collaborating closely with local peers, coaches, stakeholders, and global engineering teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deliverables, identify risks, and escalate issues in a timely and constructive way.
  • Hands-on, customer-focused, and problem-solving mindset with the ability to support both new product development and current product improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agricultural equipment, off-highway vehicles or harvesting products.
  • Knowledge of product safety, homologation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with plastic part design and surfacing.
  • Understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes for plastic parts.
