Job Purpose
- This position will be responsible for Chemical Commodity and will be based at Pithampur Plant.
- This position will be responsible for driving all new part development & current product improvement activities for Chemical commodity.
Key Responsibilities

Primary and Secondary duties:
- Responsible for development of Chemical commodity parts. Performing APQP & Conducting PPAP.
- New Product development - To perform various activities of Design Reviews, Technical feasibility with suppliers, Supplier Interactions, Development Plans, Technical support to meet project timelines.
- Current Product Management - To support Plant quality team in resolving current product issues and improvement. Good RCA and problem-solving skills.
- Quality & Reliability improvement by closing CPM Profiles.
- Planning and undertaking Supplier Improvement plans through Reactive/ Preventive and Proactive approach.
- To interact with peers of various functions like Purchasing, PD, Plant Quality, PDP.
- Has to interact on activities like NPD bottlenecks, technical evaluation of suppliers, PIR resolution, Current product improvement, support to supply chain bottlenecks etc

Leadership/Team Management Responsibility:
- Chemical commodity imposes a special challenge for NPD as well as CPM parts due to its high aesthetic value, safety & comfort expectations owing to Customer demands and parts undergoing major design improvements to meet customer expectations.
- Thus, this needs to have a highly competitive Supplier Quality person with high level of expertise in this commodity. This position requires having a high level of internal networking and also having a good relationship with suppliers for managing and streamlining the activities in this area
Experience Required

Education/Qualifications (Min): Diploma / Graduate Plastic Engineer
Essential experience and skills:
- 10~12 years of experience in OEM or Auto ancillary in Supplier Quality function
- Skill sets, both in terms of leadership and functional competencies supported by varied experience.
- Should be well versed in Plastic & Rubber processing technologies especially Plastic & Rubber Injection Molding, Roto molding, FRP & SMC technologies, Vacuum forming, Rubber compression molding, Rubber extrusion technologies, Blow molding along with expertise in development of Glass/Filter/Seats/Hoses. He should be expert in Tooling / Jigs & Fixtures / Gauges Concept development & review. Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal & Fabrication is required.
- Hands on experience on measuring devices.
- New Part development process exposure for Chemical parts as described above.
