Job Purpose

The Plant EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and policies within the plant to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This role involves managing risk assessments, regulatory compliance, employee safety training, and environmental protection initiatives, ensuring the plant’s operations are carried out in adherence with applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities

• • To develop, implement and monitor  Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, Procedures and awareness at all levels within the organization.
  • To assist the Organization in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of  employees  and visitors;
  • To establish budget proposals for the operation of the Occupational Health and Safety office and specific training programs;
  • To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to Associates/ staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents /   incidents that result in substantial damage to Board vehicles and property;
  • To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the  Director Manufacturing and/or other appropriate senior staff;
  • To respond to employees’ safety concerns & to conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of any office facility from time to time
  • To assist the company’s  Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees;

Experience Required

• 15+ years of experience in EHS management or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Full time Safety Officer Course from  CLI, Mumbai  or  Other recognize Govt. recognize institute
