Job Purpose

As a Livestock & Dairy Product Specialist, you will support New Holland dealers and customers as the product expert for your assigned territory within North America. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who is passionate about our industry and is enthusiastic about identifying regional market conditions, industry trends (including competitor strategies and the advancement of Precision Technology). You will be a significant part of regional and local training events, and will also be a presence at national, regional, and local farm shows.

Primary products of responsibility will include round balers, disc mower conditioners, self-propelled windrowers, self-propelled forage harvesters, large square balers, small square balers, other haytools, utility tractors, and mid-range tractors.

The territory for this position is North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Western Iowa, and Western Minnesota. Ideal location for this position would be South Dakota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the dealer network to drive sales of livestock & dairy products as the primary in-field operational trainer providing own-and-use training for dealer sales staff.
  • Heavy focus on participating with dealers in on-site customer meetings, customer demonstrations, field days, and clinics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in dealer capabilities with precision technologies as a technical resource and product expert that provides hands on experience through demonstrations.
  • Assist in regional marketing and training material development working with brand and product marketing managers, shared services, and the field sales team.
  • Provide voice of customer/voice of dealer feedback to the brand and product marketing groups to guide product development and marketing actions.
  • Analyze and communicate regional trends pertaining to brand performance, competition, and marketplace.
  • Implement dealer marketing strategies in collaboration with our sales staff to increase sales and market share for livestock & dairy segment.
  • Support field sales and dealers with driven conquest opportunities and coordinate opportunities within the New Holland Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process to deliver sales.
  • Activate annual marketing plans within your Region to achieve the key quantitative objectives – Market Share & Revenue.
  • Support the distribution strategy in coordination with the Regional Dealer Development organization.
  • Support regional and national trade shows and training as necessary.
  • Manage and operate company inventory machines used for demonstration and training purposes.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years' experience in heavy equipment or agricultural industry; OR
  • Associate’s degree and at least five (5) years' experience in heavy equipment or agricultural industry; OR
  • HS Diploma and at least eight (8) years' experience in heavy equipment or agricultural industry
  • Ability to travel 75% - this is a field-based position.
