Duties: The Systems Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will collaborate with the Precision Technology team to ensure the overall form, fit, and function of new and current vehicle display, application control, steering solution, digital service and telematic, and fully autonomous driverless technology products. Develop test strategies for system testing. Perform system test execution for each software release cadence with full verification loops of electronic controllers; and create and maintain test reports. Interface with the electronic component team to gather hardware specifications of electronic controllers, electronic Instrument clusters, displays, telematics and other devices on agricultural and construction equipment. Interface with system, software, and Functional Safety teams to gather requirements of electronic controllers for telematics, displays, auto guidance and other devices. Assist in the development of robust, flexible, and re-usable test scripting for automated testing. Create test reports, defects and communicate test results to stakeholders. Ensure traceability of test cases, test results, and defects to requirements. Maintain the HIL configuration and bench setup. Support application and system engineering teams with preparation of reports. Support Design of Experiments and Design Validation testing. Identify and implement new procedures for process improvements. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary: $108,077 - $144,375 /year
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in computer science, electrical and computer engineering or directly related field plus 2 years of experience as an engineer or related occupation. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) developing and releasing system requirements for sub-systems; (2) MATLAB, Simulink, or related model-based design to interpret and develop software models from requirement specification; (3) CAN, CANFD, Canalyzer or related tool used to analyze communication between electronic components in embedded or machine-based systems; (4) defining and executing system verification testing; (5) supporting vehicle level testing and troubleshooting electrical systems, sensor, and actuators; (6) Jira or other project tracking and issue management tool to log, monitor, and resolve system-related issues.
