Job Purpose

The Supplier Quality Platform Manager is considered an expert and consultant in his/her field; with knowledge, training, experience and the ability to drive platform activity for the team across multiple GPD Platforms.  The Supplier Quality Platform Manager uses personal competencies and leadership, to ensure on-time completion of key responsibilities within Platform launch milestone timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary advocate for CNH1/2 critical purchased part quality within the organization, ensuring customer’s quality needs/expectations are met across all Regions.
    • Leads problem solving activities on supplier issues that affect multiple CNH plants globally.
  • Owns the Advanced Product Quality Planning Risk (APQP) assessment and manage the APQP list & its requirements through the launch process.
    • Ensure completion of necessary steps such as program reviews and process audits on 100% of the APQP parts that are sourced to supplier per internal procedure.
  • Owns the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) completion targets per GPD guidelines on all CNH1/2 parts per internal procedures.
  • Verify that 100% of parts sourced & ordered under blanket PO have an Interim Recovery Worksheet (IRW) or PPAP approval by PQB on CNH1/2 critical parts.
  • Owns Product Integrity Report (PIR) resolution on supplier manufacturing defects (CNH1/2 critical parts) to ensure they are closed within launch timeline requirements.
  • Owns Field issue/Current Product Management (CPM) problem resolution on supplier manufacturing defects (CNH1/2 critical parts) within the platform’s Time to Fix (TTF) targets.
  • Support technical discussions with suppliers and Supplier Warranty Recovery team for Product Improvement Program (PIP) recovery.
  • Co-Coordinate Top Worst Supplier (TWS) meetings with Plant Quality Manager; compiling the monthly quality TWS list.
  • Manages team to drive above requirements for multiple platforms and Global Product Lines.
  • Global reference for procedural compliance in all regions & identifies inefficiencies to existing approaches, coordinating with the global team to resolve them.
  • Resource for colleagues with less experience & may direct the work of other staff members.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management
  • 8 or more years of relevant manufacturing, quality or product development experience.
  • 3 or more years of project management, quality management, or supplier quality management.
  • Clear understanding and experience working with Advanced Quality Planning and problem-solving tools (design reviews, FMEAs, Contractual Control Plans, Inspection and Test plans, Gage R&R Studies, Capability Studies, SPC, 7-step or 8D corrective action process).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time within North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification preferred. (CQE, CQA, CQMgr, CMfgE, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Certification is a plus.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is $112,000 - $175,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
