Duties: The Software Test Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will utilize Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing equipment along with automation tools to effectively perform test execution, root-cause analysis, and reporting. Maintain, design, and operate the HIL simulators and the automated tests for embedded software. Design, develop, and maintain the automated HIL test systems. Develop simulations and models to support HIL configuration and testing. Assist in electrical and mechanical modifications to test systems. Design, plan, and collaborate with vendors on major upgrades or development of new test systems. Execute testing on multiple hardware variants per software release. Develop robust, flexible, and reusable test scripting for automated testing. Evaluate functional and performance requirements for defining test plans and procedures. Analyze test failures to identify root causes, such as incorrect test cases and software defects. Manage the debugging of electrical, simulation, and automated test script components of test systems to support root cause analysis. Create test reports, defects and communicate test results to team members. Collaborate with the software, system, and hardware engineering teams to gather input for testing the devices under test. Analyze requirements and test requests to define the testing approach, changes, and test plan. Oversee supplier test development and other support activities. Identify and implement new procedures for process improvements. Provide informal guidance to test engineers through an agile work environment in both product owner and release engineer roles. Telecommuting permitted 3 days per week. Salary: $88,088 - $132,825/year

 

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience as a quality engineer or related occupation for heavy equipment in agriculture. The 3 years of experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) dSPACE, including Automation Desk, Configuration Desk, and Control Desk; (2) SIMULINK to create models for integration into a real-time interface; (3) VECTOR tools, including CANALYZER and CANoe; (4) test design, including testing techniques and methodologies; and (5) COGNEX for measuring key performance indicators; and (6) Azure or Java Agile development.
