Job Purpose

The Global Planter Design and Validation team, in collaboration with the Field Agronomy team, supports the design, testing, and validation of planter systems while ensuring they meet agronomic and performance standards in real-world conditions. By working across both engineering and agronomy functions, the team drives innovation and ensures CNH planters deliver reliable, accurate, and efficient results in the field.

As a Planter Engineering & Field Intern, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to planter design improvements, validation testing, and agronomic fieldwork. You’ll also participate in research plot data collection and analysis to connect engineering design with agronomic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting planter design projects for both current and new product development

  • Assisting with validation fieldwork, ensuring products meet performance and reliability standards

  • Collaborating with the field agronomy team to conduct agronomic testing and data collection throughout the growing season

  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing research plot data to evaluate planter functionality and crop outcomes

  • Contributing to the functionality and performance evaluation of planter subsystems and features

  • Assisting engineers and agronomists in troubleshooting and improving planter design and validation processes

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in the following majors or a related field: Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $19.00 - $31.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
