Job Purpose
Reporting to the Global Head of External Reporting and Technical Accounting (US GAAP), the Manager of Technical Accounting will serve as a key U.S. GAAP subject matter expert working cross-functionally to internal stakeholder leadership. Manage the external facing reporting including the quarterly earnings release and quarterly and annual financial statements for CNH Industrial.
This position is eligible for our hybrid work model working three (3) days on-site in our offices in Oak Brook, IL and two (2) days remote/home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of CNH Industrial financial statements and footnotes under US GAAP including Annual Report on Form 20-F, Quarterly Reports and registration statements while coordinating closely with the IFRS external reporting team.
- Oversee the financial Press Release process providing input and liaison with senior management, Investor Relations, Communications, Legal and external auditors.
- Researches and prepares technical accounting memos to support the resolution of accounting issues and proper handling of new transactions.
- Provides accounting support to the M&A team for transaction activity including assisting with financial due diligence and integration.
- Monitors U.S. GAAP and SEC developments and leads the adoption of new accounting and disclosure requirements.
- Ensures company compliance with financial accounting and reporting standards.
- Assists with the financial accounting and reporting activities for the annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis and conclusions.
- Provides technical accounting expertise for other complex areas including revenue recognition, leasing, intangible assets, inventory, restructuring, stock-based compensation, benefits etc.
- Maintains SOX compliance over the financial reporting function.
- Works closely with the Finance Policy group to develop and maintain company wide accounting policies in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP requirements.
- Works with the external auditors to address accounting and reporting issues, review of financial statements and footnotes and other matters as needed.
- Prepares various presentations for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee as required.
- Provides formal and informal U.S. GAAP and accounting policy training to the global Finance function.
Experience Required
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA license and 10+ plus years professional work experience including a technical accounting role in a Big 4 accounting firm servicing large, public or private international manufacturing company.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the financial reporting process, US GAAP technical accounting, SEC compliance and financial systems.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $119,250.00 - $174,900.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
