Job Purpose
The Global Derivatives & Hedge Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting, reporting, governance, and compliance activities related to the Company's global derivative portfolio and hedging programs. This role serves as the technical accounting subject matter expert for foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity, and other risk management instruments, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control standards.
The position partners closely with Global Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Technical Accounting, Segment Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Legal, External Reporting, and external auditors to support the Company's risk management strategy while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global accounting and financial reporting for derivative instruments, including
- Ensure compliance with ASC 815, IFRS hedge accounting requirements, SEC reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Oversee the accounting close process, derivative valuations, reconciliations, disclosures, and hedge accounting documentation.
- Maintain and govern the company's hedge accounting framework, including hedge designation, effectiveness testing, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Serve as the technical accounting expert on derivatives, financial instruments, foreign currency exposures, and treasury-related transactions.
- Partner with Treasury and Finance leadership to support risk management strategies, financing transactions, and treasury transformation initiatives.
- Lead SOX controls, support internal and external audits, and ensure complete and auditable documentation.
- Drive process improvements, automation, system enhancements, and reporting efficiencies across treasury accounting processes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to global finance and accounting teams on derivative and hedge accounting matters.
Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

8+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, treasury accounting, derivative accounting, or public accounting within a multinational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.

Deep expertise in ASC 815, hedge accounting, financial instruments, fair value accounting, and foreign currency accounting.

Experience supporting SEC reporting, public company compliance, and multinational treasury operations.

Strong understanding of derivative valuation methodologies and risk management programs.

Experience with ERP and treasury management systems, preferably SAP.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate complex accounting concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated success leading process improvements, automation initiatives, and projects within a global organization.

Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $120,225.00 - $184,345.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
