Key Responsibilities

Duties: The Cost Engineering Specialist at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will be responsible for converting engineering specifications to commercial values to understand the cost of design, change, and product. Setting product cost target for project management, sourcing activity and engineering decisions. Working closely with engineering, purchasing and project management through product development. Supporting cost manager in product costing, target setting, and roll-up activity. Providing cost target to purchasing to align to sourcing strategy. Reviewing designs and providing feedback to various teams on feasibility, best manufacturing options, and cost implications. Estimating and reviewing cost model for sheet metal, castings and machines for accuracy and to ensure all manufacturing requirements meet engineering specifications and are in line with industry practices and standard. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary: $104,000 - $119,900/year.

Experience Required

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a directly related field plus 4 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Cost Specialist or related occupation. The 4 years of experience must include 4 years of experience with each of the following: 1.) Production methodologies and processes of product specific commodities; 2.) Working in formal gated product development processes in the off-highway industry; 3.) Part and system cost estimation methods and establishing target setting; 4.) Cost gap root cause analysis and data driven negotiation; 5.) Creo2, Vis-view, Vis-Mock-up and aPriori; and 6) Automotive, off-highway or construction industry experience.
