Job Purpose
We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our North America Agriculture and Construction Parts and Service Organization. North America Parts & Service is a $1.7B annual business supplying parts through our wholesale channels to our Dealer network and ultimately the end customer through our 9 Depot locations and direct from supplier channel. The Controller will work closely with the VP of Parts and Service on best practices to drive wholesale and retail sales, pricing actions to maintain profitability, with a continued focus on operational cost to deliver a sustainable and repeatable result. Primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely sales and cost forecasts with plans and actions to deliver actual results to target, partnering with the business to bring process improvements, strategy development, and innovate ways of working to drive growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional committed to learning the details and dynamics of Parts sales and strategies, coupled with a desire to raise the bar to meet the demands of today’s markets.
This position is eligible for our hybrid work model working three (3) days on-site in our offices in Racine, WI and two (2) days remote/home office.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare Annual Budget and Quarterly forecasts 2 Segments and 4 Brands in accordance with varying inputs – seasonality, Dealer Inventory levels, and general macro environmental factors for a combined $1.7B business
• Prepare 3-5 year strategic business plans designed to focus on relevant sales streams and maximize profit in rapidly shifting and evolving agriculture and construction landscape
• Support and coordinate with Marketing and Sales on long-term strategic planning
• Clean bill of health regarding SOX controls, and external audit requirements regarding commercial programs, revenue recognition, statistical counts, and inventory control
• Prepare monthly Revenue and EBIT causals reflecting the activities and performance of the business in comparison to the latest plans (price realization, volume, Depot cost, SG&A)
• Commercial focus areas include Precision sales growth, Remanufactured sales, value line sales, service sales – channel volume and integration into the core streams of Depot and DFS sales
• Projects in the areas of Service Sales, Report Automation, and Pricing realization
• Labor, marketing costs, travel controlling, and related spend initiative review and control
• Oversight on monthly journal entries and key reconciliations in accordance with policy
• Support strategic sales and marketing initiatives that add value to the business while supporting the financial goals of the Company
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree
- 12+ years of related experience
- Direct people management experience, including leading a team, providing performance coaching and feedback, and supporting employee development
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $148,500.00 - $217,800.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
