Job Purpose

The Systems Engineer II is responsible for system design and software requirements definition for Vehicle Displays used across Agricultural product lines. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply systems engineering best practices to define, develop, integrate, and maintain Vehicle Display solutions across Agricultural product lines.
  • Understand end-user and stakeholder needs and translate them into product-level feature specifications, system requirements, layouts, and supporting documentation.
  • Define system-level features and decompose them into clear subsystem and software requirements, including interfaces and acceptance criteria.
  • Support product vision and roadmap development by providing systems engineering input on feasibility, dependencies, risks, and technical priorities.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to align product designs with multi-product strategies and maximize component scalability, modularity, and reuse.
  • Coordinate system definition, design, and integration across Vehicle Integration, Precision Applications, Network, Architecture, software development, and other engineering teams.
  • Ensure display solutions meet form, fit, function, performance, safety, and applicable technical and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with verification and validation teams to confirm that systems and components meet defined requirements and perform as intended.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support configuration, change, quality, and requirements management processes in accordance with applicable ISO standards.
  • Promote company values, quality, continuous improvement, safety, and ergonomic practices in daily work.
  • Perform other comparable duties and support related activities as business needs require.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electronics Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing requirements for embedded systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with in-vehicle communication architectures and protocols, including CAN, LIN, J1939, ISOBUS, XCP, UDS, KWP2000, or FlexRay

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in Electronics Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.
  • Strong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.
  • Strong experience with agricultural practices and operations.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques. 
  • Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of internet communication protocols, such as TCP/IP and Ethernet.
  • Experience with V-Model development processes, including SPICE or CMMI, or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with issue-tracking and workflow tools, such as Polarion, Jira, ClearQuest, etc.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Git, Subversion, ClearCase, or similar.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $86,625.00 - $132,825.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
