Job Purpose

About the Global Purchasing Center of Excellence:
The Global Purchasing Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for driving transformation initiatives that strengthen purchasing processes worldwide. Our focus areas include digitalization of systems, simplification of workflows, data analytics for better decision-making, and developing the Purchasing Academy to build future capabilities. By collaborating across functions such as engineering, operations, and supplier management, the CoE ensures purchasing practices are efficient, transparent, and aligned with business objectives.

How the Internship Supports the Team:
As an intern, you will play an important role in supporting the CoE’s ongoing projects. You will assist project leaders with data preparation, documentation, and analysis, as well as contribute to workshops and process improvement activities. This role will give you the opportunity to work alongside a global team, learn how large-scale transformation projects are managed, and make a meaningful impact by providing insights and operational support that help the team deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Project Leader in driving process transformation initiatives within Global Purchasing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digitalization, data analytics, process simplification, and purchasing academy projects. The intern will work closely with the Project Leader and cross-functional teams to assist with project coordination, documentation, and data preparation. The role is well-suited for a student interested in learning about global supply chain operations and contribute to meaningful improvement initiatives.

The Project Intern will assist in preparing project documentation, tracking progress, and supporting workshops and meetings with stakeholders. They will help collect and analyze data using tools such as Excel and PowerBI, and contribute to research on best practices and new digital tools. Additional tasks may include supporting workflow mapping exercises, preparing presentations, documenting process improvements, and assisting in the use of tools such as PowerAutomate to enable automation. The intern will also gain exposure to continuous improvement methodologies, such as PDCA, and will learn how large organizations implement cross-functional transformation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates may be pursuing an Associates, Technical, Bachelor’s, or Post-graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Data Science, Computer Science , or a related field.
