Duties: The Product Development Purchasing Specialist at CNH Industrial America LLC in New Holland, PA will be responsible for the product purchasing function for multiple, concurrent new product development programs for our Next Generation and new Combine Harvester products. Manage a $3 million supplier tooling budget, and supervise purchasing activities and purchasing execution for new product launches, including monitoring product costs, and CAPEX budget, timing, and quality. Manage all purchase activities for multiple, concurrent new product development and current product activities including quality improvements, technical modification, technical cost reductions and product improvements. Create, forecast and execute sourcing and tooling plans to ensure product launch meets all program targets for quality timing, and cost. Oversee the cost of purchased parts to ensure program deliverables meet gross margin targets. Increase supplier value through Research & Development, co-designs and innovations. Provide expertise and final decisions on all product sourcing for new product development. Manage supplier accountability to commitments and project deliverables and take appropriate actions when commitments are not met. Direct purchased parts negotiations and the implementation of technical modifications. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary: $78,270- $114,425/year

 

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Business, or related field and 3 years of experience as a product purchaser, sourcing specialist, or related occupation. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept 5 years of professional experience as a product purchaser, sourcing specialist, or related occupation. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) project management tools, including Microsoft Project or equivalent; (2) product development lifecycle and cross-functional interdependencies; (3) purchasing processes and methodologies, including early supplier engagement, negotiation, project management, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing capabilities; (4) internal manufacturing and external supplier manufacturing capabilities to influence designs that optimize quality and cost; (5) analyzing cost drivers, including technical cost estimates, design to cost, design for manufacturability, and manufacturing processes and associated costs; and (6) managing and executing budget, program timing, quality, and cost deliverables for new and current programs.
