Job Purpose

The New Holland Innovation team is a small, agile group focused on functionally evaluating new concepts before handing them off to advanced engineering. Products supported from the New Holland Innovation site include hay and forage equipment, tractors, combines, and sprayers. The team works across multiple stages of concept development—designing, building, and evaluating prototypes—with a strong emphasis on automation and sensing technologies.

As an Innovation Intern – Hay & Forage, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to concept development and evaluation projects that explore the future of agricultural automation. You will work alongside multiple team members, supporting field trials, data collection, and prototype development while also having the opportunity to build skills in design and/or software depending on your interests.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the development and evaluation of new concepts, with a focus on machine automation and sensing projects for hay and forage equipment

• Participating in field evaluations, including data collection, equipment operation, and sensor testing

• Assisting with prototype building and testing to assess new ideas and technologies

• Processing and analyzing field data to provide actionable insights to the engineering team

• Contributing to mechanical design and/or software development tasks depending on your background and interest

• Collaborating with a small, cross-functional team to explore innovative solutions across multiple product lines

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors or a related field: Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering 

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $19.00 - $31.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
