Job Purpose
The Haytools Field Test Engineering team plays a critical role in validating the performance, reliability, and durability of CNH’s hay and forage equipment. By working directly with prototype machines in both lab and field environments, the team ensures that new products meet customer expectations for functionality, safety, and quality.
As a Haytools Field Test Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience updating prototype equipment, executing field tests, and diagnosing system-level issues, while working closely with engineers to improve product designs.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:

Updating prototype equipment and supporting design teams with Creo modeling tasks

Reviewing test plans and executing tests on-site and in the field

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing issues related to crop gathering, cutting, feeding, drivetrain, electrical/electronic, and fluid power systems

Collecting and interpreting field and lab data, including noise, vibration, speed, torque, hydraulic pressure/flow, and electronic sensor data

Communicating results by submitting timely, concise test reports covering performance, reliability, serviceability, customer appeal, and safety

Maintaining accurate and comprehensive test records for future reference and analysis

Assisting with the build and assembly of prototype machinery to develop product familiarity

Traveling to remote test locations for extended periods (approximately 40–60% of the internship, in 4-week intervals)
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in Mechnical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $19.00 - $31.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
