Job Purpose

This role is responsible for the Current Product Quality within the Global Product Platform and acts as the Product Quality interface with Regional Quality teams for assigned model families, in this case within the Harvesting Platform.  The primary focus is to ensure quick, effective technical solutions to top product issues affecting our customers.  This position is eligible for our hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in office, and two days remote. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, consolidate & prioritize current product quality and reliability issues coming from Regional Quality, Plant Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Early Warning Team, and through analysis of global warranty reporting tools.
  • Create and maintain Quality & Reliability Roadmaps for assigned product lines to achieve product reliability (MERF F/100) and warranty cost targets (CORF ACPU).
  • Drive timely resolution of correctly prioritized product concerns through the 7-step process as a key member of the Current Product Management team by ensuring clear problem statements, validated root causes, and effective solutions.
  • Coordinate and lead diagnostic meetings to establish clear, thorough problem statements for new issues ahead of project start.
  • Identify and develop Product Improvement Programs (field campaigns) in respect for warranty, regulatory & safety concerns.  Forecast completion rates, identifying parts, labor, travel, and other variable expenses.
  • Communicate KPI (key performance indicators) & product concern status to stakeholders.
  • Assist the Platform Team in determining the strategic direction of new products in areas of field quality and reliability, fitness for use, and customer satisfaction based on current product performance.
  • Assist with developing warranty budget accrual rates for current products and work with responsible new product quality contacts to set objectives on warranty for new products.
  • Support discussions & risk assessments necessary during product safety reviews.
  • Review technical information such as Service Bulletins, Knowledge Articles, PIP bulletins, Issue Masters, and Service News Updates (SNU).
  • Support Fleet Monitoring activities for connected units and utilize Universal Control Room data to drive faster identification of issues.
  • Utilize Net Promotor Score (NPS) information to ensure top customer concerns are known and properly prioritized.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or associated technical field.
  • 5 plus years experience with heavy equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge in heavy equipment industries and vehicle systems.
  • Expert knowledge of quality and problem-solving tools: Kaizen, Ishikawa, 5W1H, Seven-Step, statistical techniques.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Expert level user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is  $87,000- $133,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
