Job Purpose
The North America Crop Harvesting Validation team, based in New Holland, PA, is responsible for validating combines and headers to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and customer expectations. The team evaluates machine performance, diagnoses malfunctions, and recommends design improvements across full vehicles and components.
As a Field Test Engineer Intern – Crop Harvesting, you will work alongside experienced test engineers to support validation projects, conduct tests, and gain hands-on knowledge of harvesting equipment operation and performance. You will also have opportunities to take on independent projects while contributing directly to product improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:

Learning the functional operation of combines and headers and how subsystems interact during crop harvesting

Assisting with machine performance evaluations, diagnosing malfunctions, and recommending improvements

Operating combines both in the field during harvest and on test tracks for controlled vehicle testing

Supporting lab tests to understand component and subsystem validation before field trials

Creating daily logs, problem reports, and test reports within CNH systems to enhance technical writing and communication skills

Traveling to field locations with senior test engineers to support validation activities

Assisting in prototype builds, part installation, and test preparations in coordination with product development teams

Collaborating in a team-focused environment, gaining exposure to equipment function, validation processes, and customer feedback
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates may be pursuing an Associates, Technical, Bachelor’s, or Post-graduate degree in the follwing majors or a related field: Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
