Job Purpose

The Technical Expert defines standard operating procedures for inspections, provides preliminary technical analysis to support claim validation, manage meetings for root cause analysis and technical investigation, provide key information to supplier warranty recovery operation, and acts as a key technical resource for audits and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete root cause analysis on a variety of warranty failed parts including hoses, hydraulic cylinders, drivetrain components, engine parts
  • Perform metallurgical lab activities such as hardness testing and microscopy
  • Assist with equipment calibration and management
  • Deliver technical preliminary analysis reports to support warranty claims
  • Conduct failure analysis of metal and non-metal parts and assemblies and provide root cause reporting
  • Define and maintain SOPs for first-level inspections.
  • Write up technical reports for the team to utilize to challenge supplier rejections
  • Utilize supplier specific testing equipment for analysis
  • Provide a high level of support to dealer inquiries on parts return related questions and reversals via WIT Tool
  • Utilize CNH systems (telematics, parts diagrams, parts specifications) to validate failure mode and dealer claims

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • OR Associates degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience
  • Advanced technical expertise in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Experience in SOP development and technical reporting.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Focus on safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Audit support experience is a plus.
  • Forklift Certified a plus
  • Materials Engineering Degree

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $63,000.00 - $92,400.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
