Job Purpose
As a Deficiency Recovery (DR) Collection Specialist you will work to obtain the best possible outcome for CNH Capital for accounts that have a deficiency balance or have been charged off. You will utilize negotation and settlement techniques to maximize profitability. CNH Capital is a critical commercial financing partner for the sale of CaseIH, Case Construction and New Holland equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate information from various sources including customer financial information, future income potential or cost of legal pursuit to recover deficiency balances.
- Evaluate and approve customer settlements based on the loss amount and the debtor’s ability to pay, with approval as defined in the delegation of authority.
- Seek recoveries on an assigned portfolio of deficiency receivables totaling $15M to $25M.
- Negotiate and resolve deficiency or charged off accounts and address problems identified during the collection process.
- Monitor select payments received to ensure appropriate application based on payment plans and settlements.
- Work within the framework of established policies, procedures, and approval authorities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline (Business Administration, Accounting or Finance) or in leu of a Bachelor’s Degree, three years of experience in a collection account.
- 1+ years of experience with collection accounts.
- 1 + years demonstrating an ability to independently analyze situations and make sound decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use internet resources to locate contact information, Debtor or equipment status.
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues, open tickets and work through resolutions independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Welcomes constructive feedback and has a sincere desire to grow and develop.
- Self-motivating and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $55,725.00 - $85,445.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
