Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Train others on basic data collection tools such as scales, scanners, printers, PCs.
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency using the associated software systems, including scheduling, sequencing, and inventory management programs.
  • Ability to manage and maintain plant dock scheduling processes and tools.
  • Ability to operate and utilize advanced data collection and communication tools such as Sharepoint, Access, WMS, and MRP.
  • Skills, or the ability to learn the skills, to work with Finance and Material Management teams to facilitate accurate and timely WorkFlow processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal colleagues, plant management, plant personnel, vendors, suppliers, and transportation designees.
  • Applicants will have the ability to utilize all the process tools to coordinate an accurate inventory environment, and to audit and reconcile all inventory issues in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the logistics and plant operations.

Experience Required

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED AS AN APPLICANT INCLUDE:

  • High School Diploma or GED, 2 years technical/college education and/or 3 years of related experience in a logistics operation preferred
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Proficient in shop math (percentages, fractions, etc.)
  • Software proficiency in MRP, Sharepoint, Access, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
