Job Purpose
The Product Specialist plays a key role in shaping and managing the product offering for the market.
This includes selecting suitable products and defining the standard portfolio to align with customer needs and the company’s value proposition. Through sales analysis, they identify actions to support commercial goals and contribute to sales planning and product launches.
They also monitor market trends and competition to build strong business cases for new or improved products. Additionally, the Product Specialist promotes products through training, demonstrations, and events, while supporting the sales team with expert guidance and consistent messaging.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth analysis of market segments, with a particular focus on High HP segment.
• Define optimal product configurations and equipment packages tailored to market realities and customer needs.
• Manage product stock orders, ensuring alignment with market demand and inventory planning.
• Create, or adapt, Marketing Bulletins for the ranges of responsibility. Ensure the material is timely distributed to the network.
• Deliver commercial product training to dealer’s salesmen during central and local sessions, according to the ranges in scope.
• Organize and participate in customer meetings to present product features and gather user feedback. Promote and organize customer participation to product clinics.
• Support dealers with technical and commercial information to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Act as a liaison between the market and product development teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in current development and future product designs.
• Support central training colleagues in the adaptation of commercial training material to the local needs and language.
• Support the local homologation process for vehicles, when needed, working closely to the Engineering and participating the testing phase during the process
• Help the local Communication Manager in the Press and Media activity, like PR correction and integration, contact with journalists to answer product questions, organize and support magazines field tests with specific models, press articles correction and comments, if required.
• To support the local Market and, eventually, central team in the organization and setup of trade shows and exhibitions. Mainly national but also main regional events directly participated by specific dealers.
• Provide skill and expertise to field product demonstrations, either during public events or local activities organized by dealers. Support the in-field activities.
Experience Required
- Experience in similar roles
- Knowledge of sell and negotiation techniques
- Results-oriented with a strong willingness to improve the presence on the market
- Build Customer relationship and Deliver Customer Satisfaction
- Logical approach to Problem Solving
- Coaching aptitude and teamwork
- Leadership and self-confidence
- English language
- Agricultural background & passion for Agricultural Mechanization (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial / Agronomic / Marketing background.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Ag mechanization
- Proactivity and attitude to teamwork.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant demand planning software and tools.
- Availability to travel. Mainly domestic but also internationally.
