Job Purpose

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D Driveline FPTO, FRONT AXLES team, supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of axle systems for agricultural and construction equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for 3D modeling and technical documentation, product data management, new product development activities, and engineering support for current production. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Validation, and Supplier Engineering. He/she will drive new concept design, recommend and use appropriate Engineering techniques and optimum standardized technical solutions to take strong and best decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop axle components and assemblies.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, and related technical documentation.
  • Release and manage engineering data through the Teamcenter PLM system.
  • Support new product development activities from concept to production implementation.
  • Drive engineering changes and product improvements based on field feedback, quality concerns, cost reduction initiatives, and performance requirements.
  • Provide technical support to current production, addressing manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Collaborate with validation, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to ensure product robustness and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and product validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards and industry regulations.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for product and manufacturing issues.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Experience in mechanical design and product development within an industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to read and create technical drawings including GD&T specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design and development of axle systems, driveline components, or powertrain products.
  • Knowledge of agricultural, construction, automotive, or off-highway vehicle applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes.
  • Experience supporting current production and resolving manufacturing-related technical issues.
  • Understanding of FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience working with suppliers and validation teams.
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is considered a plus.
  • Availability for occasional domestic and international travel.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is EUR €39,000.00 - €44,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
