Job Purpose

Lead the Data Science team to create cutting-edge agricultural solutions that address real-world challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and effective deployment. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development of key engineering deliverables.
• Provide technical support to the team members.  
• Promote and maintain the highest possible environment of teamwork and collaboration.  
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of engineering documentation.  
• Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.
• Encourage team member growth and development.
• May perform the functions and responsibilities of an engineer. 

Experience Required

• MSc in Machine Learning or software engineering or applied mathematics with 5+ years of engineering experience
• Expertise in Python 
• Proven technical or scientific expertise in data analysis and machine learning
• 1+ years of leadership experience
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all engineering departments.
• Proven experience in team management
• Extensive experience in researching, designing and developing software solutions using ML/AI
• Great organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and effectively resolve conflicts
• Experience in code documentation, maintenance and good practices (repositories, PRs, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Greek & English) 

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D or proven experience in a related field for a senior position
• Expertise in C++
• Experience in Cloud processing or GPU (CUDA) processing for data analysis
• Experience in Computer Vision algorithms or Optics
• Experience in Embedded Software Deployment
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, including SQL and NoSQL databases, modern data warehouse solutions, and cloud-based data processing tools.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Proven experience in project management
