Job Purpose

We are seeking a Plant Site HR Generalist to join our team. This role is based in our manufacturing plant in Wichita, KS, where we produce Skid Steer and Track Loader Construction Equipment (CE) and is also home to our CE Research & Development Center.  The HR Labor Relations/Generalist serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership, supporting a positive, proactive, and high‑performance workplace culture. This position focuses on employee relations in a non‑union manufacturing environment, ensuring consistent application of company policies, strengthening employee engagement, and promoting effective communication across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong HR expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a passion for creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Provide coaching and guidance to floor supervisors on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and performance management.
  • Support and maintain a positive employee relations environment by promoting open communication, fairness, and consistency.
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations related to employee concerns, misconduct, or workplace conflicts, recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Identify trends, risks, or emerging issues in the workforce and partner with HR Manager and operations team to develop proactive solutions.

HR Policy & Compliance

  • Administer and interpret company HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with employment laws and internal standards.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to employee relations, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and research changes in employment-related regulations and support implementation of compliant practices.

Workforce Planning & Development

  • Assist in manpower planning, staffing adjustments, job movement, and skills development, taking the lead on hourly recruiting initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training efforts for employees and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure employees receive required compliance and safety training.

 HR Operations & Partnership

  • Partner with HR Shared Services to maintain and update HRIS systems, including SuccessFactors and ADP.
  • Collaborate with the corporate Shared Services team to support annual open enrollment and serve as a local resource for employee benefits questions.
  • Support weekly payroll processes by ensuring accurate and timely employee data and communication.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of HR generalist or employee relations experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and investigation techniques. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels. 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $72,750.00 - $111,550.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
